An International Baccalaureate student at L.D. Bell High School teamed up with her former elementary school to support a local English as a Second Language program. Landry Picone held a book drive that connected the donations of the Bedford Heights Elementary community with donations from the Bedford Public Library and local businesses. In total, more than 600 books were collected for the creation of a "Lending Library" for ESL classes hosted at First United Methodist Church of Hurst. Kids and adults in the classes can borrow the books to practice their English by reading together!
